HAPPY HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH!
Each year, from September 15 to October 15 , Americans observe Hispanic Heritage Month as a time to recognize and celebrate the many contributions, diverse cultures, and histories of the American Hispanic community. Hispanic countries/territories include: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Uruguay, and Venezuela Hispanic Heritage Month also celebrates holidays that recognize Hispanic contributions such as Virgin Islands-Puerto Rico Friendship Day, celebrated in the U.S. Virgin Islands on the second Monday in October, and the independence days of several Latin American countries, including: Independence Days September 15th: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua September 16th: Mexico September 18th: Chile To honor Hispanic Heritage Month, we will be spotlighting Hispanic countries and territories throughout the next four weeks. The first Hispanic country we will be spotlighting is Mexico!
