HAPPY MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH!
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health is defined as a state of well-being in which every individual realizes his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to their community . Over the past year we have collectively endured unprecedented times, mental healthcare and well-being is more important now than ever before. We know that everyone has been mindful during this time of our physical health in light of so many challenged presented by COVID, including the health and well-being of ourselves, our families and our communities. We also wanted to take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of taking care of your mental health and helping others as much as we can to meet the challenges that this time has presented to mental health – especially as we begin to come out of this very intense experience we have all been through together. In addition, as you may all know, we have a subscription to LinkedIn Learning where there are many resources for professional development that many of you have taken advantage of. LinkedIn learning also has many resources to help us with our mental health. Here is a helpful learning path course via LinkedIn Learning that can help support our mental health during challenging times. These courses cover topics such as building resilience, minding your mind while working from home, avoiding burnout, managing difficult feelings, and managing your emotions. Mental health is something we all have and it’s important we take measures to focus on our mental health to improve our wellbeing, resilience, and happiness.
